What is your favourite mega-ship?

And the winner is…… Cunard!  Recently Cunard were named as the best cruise-line in the mega-ship category at the Travel and Leisure World’s Best Awards 2017.  But that got me to thinking about who it is that actually votes for these honours and how relevant they really are?  From looking at Travel and Leisure’s website this was voted for by their own readers who have taken a survey.  Now, this rules out many of the cruising public who haven’t read or taken part in the survey.  This is why we thought we’d conduct our own poll, for our customers.  Even though I have been on many ships I am still bowled over by how much experience, far surpassing my own, that some of my seasoned cruiser customers have had and I love hearing your stories and opinions or ships.

Let’s be honest.  One person’s perfect cruise-line can be another person’s worst nightmare.  Whether you want formal, relaxed, mega-ship, small ship, family friendly, adults only etc it is all just a matter of what is right for you!  Take a look at this link and have your say in our survey:

Personally, of the ships I have been on so far, I have a preference for P&O and Royal Caribbean.  I love that I can dress up in the evening if I want to but also that they have comfortable atmosphere and have energetic and varied entertainment.  I appreciate however that different ships suit different customers and feel that I can give great unbiased advice on whether a particular cruise-line will be good for you.  Despite naming my favourites I was particularly impressed when I went on Cunard ship The Queen Elizabeth recently and can see why Cunard got many of the cruising publics votes!  Take a look at my recent blog on the Queen Elizabeth to get an insight into why Cunard won:
