There was an amazing photo in the papers this week. It showed brave cleaners hanging underneath the Skywalk attraction in Arizona, 4,000ft above the Grand Canyon. The whole point of the Skywalk is it is a glass walkway and so obviously has to be kept clean.
I suppose I take it for granted that these sort of things are kept clean but rarely think about how this happens.
In a very similar way, my children have clean clothes and a clean house to live in …..those magic night time fairies out in force again!!!
Think of any iconic landmark and someone has to clean it and keep it iconic.
Cruise ships are no different. They have to look pristine all the time and so have a whole team of hundreds of staff whose job it is to unobtrusively keep them this way.
Next time you’re on a ship, look out them. From your cabin steward to the laundry staff to the maintenance crew all working away to make your holiday amazing.
