Haven is no holiday park!

Not to be confused with the Haven holiday parks in this country, I am talking about the Haven accommodation on the new NCL Escape.  So, what is the Haven then?

The Haven is NCL’s exclusive enclave, situated at the top of the ship. The most lovely suites which can serve just two people or a family.  You can only access the Haven area by your own key card. When you first arrive on board you will be escorted to your suite. 24 hour butler service of course is the norm along with the Haven courtyard which has its own private pool area and sun deck.  If you don’t want to eat in the restaurants then you can eat in your suite, served of course, by your own butler, or eat in the restaurant, only for Haven guests.   All Haven passengers have access to the private lounge which is very nice, here you can enjoy a nice cocktail, eat some nibbles and see your concierge who will book you for a spa treatment, speciality restaurant or a show, and of course as your a Haven client you do get priority over everyone else!

I have to admit, I was fairly blown away by the standard of accommodation. I loved the courtyard area, the sun beds are the “posh” ones that I love along with nice chairs to sit and relax. Yes, there is a pool, nothing you can swim in but great for just cooling down in.

The suites are amazing, so much room with great features. The balconies on the Owners suite are massive – what a great place to stay in. I am not one for looking at light fittings on a ship, well lets face it, it is not something you look at! However, the lights in the suites are beautiful in fact I have to admit in a lot of areas around the ship.

As always, there is a price to pay for such exclusivity, you may think it is too much however, think about what you are getting. The suites really are amazing and most definitely took our breath away, it was like having your own apartment on board.
