Millward's Maritime Matters

Have I or Not?

As you know I am currently sailing around the Norwegian Fjords on the Celebrity Silhouette. The Silhouette is a sister ship to the Eclipse (along with Equinox, Solstice, and Reflection).  She has been given many an award from cruising fans and the cruising industry such as service, cabins, public rooms, and dining to name a few. Will she live upto all of this in my opinion? – you will have to wait and see.

This ship carries 2886 passengers and over 85% of cabins have balconies.  The entertainment on board should suit everyone from the main theatre with fantastic shows or how about the central cinema or the casino or if your really up for it the liquid nightclub.  If you have a “sea day” there is still a lot to do on board. You can go to the gym/fitness centre or the spa and have a wonderful relaxing massage. Or perhaps have a facial, get your nails done or try a bit of yoga.  For me as I am staying in a aqua class cabin and have free entry into the Persian Garden I will be there.  This area is a great place to relax – sounds up my street or was it?

Will I have been to the library? Checked out the art? Swam in the pools? Or perhaps I just lounged about in the Hideaway?  Will I have spent any time in the Lawn Club?

Where will I have eaten? Will I just stick to the main restaurant or will I have sampled the Tuscan Grill, Blu, Murano, or Qsine to name but a few? Will I have sampled many a drink on the menu? You will have to wait and see!!

As always I will give you my honest opinion – more to come next time, now I am off to ………

Till next time x
