As most of my regular clients know I have taken a few days off to try and start on my project, which is redecorating the whole of my house, Shame I wasn’t sunning it up on some beautiful Caribbean beach somewhere but these things need to be done.
My thoughts were let’s start in the kitchen then I can work our way through the rest of the house, room by room. Ooh my, what a task this has been, the kitchen was tiled a couple of months ago but then trying to find a decent decorator has been a nightmare.
Luckily enough one of my oldest friends David who is a professional decorator came to my rescue, he called me last week and we arranged for him to come out 1st thing Monday morning to start on the walls/ceiling/doors and gloss all the woodwork in the kitchen.
After a few hick-ups on the colour options, I eventually decided to do all the walls white and my main wall in warm pewter.
Well after 2 days of my house being upside down, furniture everywhere he has now finished the painting in the kitchen and I have to say he has done a fantastic job. It was well worth waiting for someone decent and professional.
My next task was to find an electrician, well again a friend of a friend, who is coming out on the 28th September to sort out the spotlights on the kitchen ceiling and also redo every single plug/light socket in the kitchen which by the way there are 15 to be sorted.
Now to my next task is the flooring, I am so indecisive to know what to have either ceramic/porcelain tiles, lino or wood flooring.
Oooh, this decorating malarky is not the easiest I have to say.
