As most of my guests know I have been off on annual leave for the last 10 days. I would have loved to tell you all that I had been cruising around some exotic Caribbean islands somewhere but no I have been trying to sort out all the decorating in my house, which I may add this is taking some time haha!
The kitchen is almost finished, after a lot of debating I have decided on ceramic floor tiles, I have found the ones I want but now I am a little stuck, my tiler cannot fit me in till November.
So whilst I wait for the tiler I thought I would keep myself busy on the next stage which is the living room. All the walls need stripping which I am the process of doing, I have found the wallpaper I want which is not cheap at £35 a roll but it looks fantastic so worth every penny.
All the original wooden flooring in the living room needs to come up which is going to be a big job, especially when I have furniture to be moved but at least I have a joiner that can do the job and I have also found the flooring I want so all that’s all sorted.
In the meantime, my little man Rocky had decided to put his head through 2 of the fence panels in the back garden, so instead of just buying 2, I decided to replace all the panels down one side, which was 9 panels in total. They arrived last week so myself and my neighbour put those up, now all it needs is to paint them, which is going to take some time. I was looking at an electric spray painter but with this weather, I am not too sure that would be a good idea unless I wanted to look like a red tomato!
I have to say it will be a relief to be back at work, it is a lot easier than this decorating malarky haha!
