Disney Magic again!  2 weeks in the Florida sunshine with Mickey and friends and so much more. My 15th time but who’s counting!

I have just returned from my favourite ‘magical’ destination, Orlando in Florida.  This was my 15th trip and it still didn’t disappoint me.

I didn’t go with any children this time so it was a very different experience.  I didn’t need to be up at the crack of dawn to get to the parks first thing.  We had a plan and this changed from time to time, but we relaxed in our villa then started our day around mid-morning.

Apart from the theme parks, there is so much more to see and do in and out of the Orlando area.  You could visit the Kennedy Space Centre, take in a Dinner Show,  swim with the Dolphins, visit the Florida Keys, Miami or the Everglades etc.  Plus the shopping is great!

The Premium Outlets is the place to buy all your designer key and fantastic prices or really inexpensive children’s clothing.  My grandsons Kieran and Jack love the onesies from Carters and they look so adorable in the ones below.

Also, I would recommend that you hire a car unless you are staying on a Disney property, as this way you will not be restricted to timed coaches to other theme parks.

Another great idea is to have the Disney Photo Pass.  With this, you can have your photo taken by any Disney photographer in any time you see one in the parks or other locations.  They even do ‘magic’ shots.  These are great keepsakes for you and your family (see some of mine below).

I holidayed with my sister-in-law who has been to Florida on several occasions and with a friend.  It was her first experience and it was like showing a child around and she was in awe of everything (me too).

There are some great dining experiences too, from breakfast, lunch or dinner with the characters or the Pirates Dinner Show which we went to.  The food wasn’t so great but the atmosphere was fantastic.

If you don’t fancy Disney then visit Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure and take Hogwarts Express from Hogsmeade to Diagon Alley and return!

Do you love the water?  Visit one of the waterparks at Disney, Blizzard Beach (or try your hand a Crazy Golf next door, free with a 14- day ticket) or Typhoon Lagoon or Universal’s Volcano Bay or Aquatica.

The other two parks are SeaWorld which is one of my favourites, or a little further away in Busch Gardens.

We did so much that I would be here all day writing about it, but suffice to say there is so much to choose from, that, maybe like me you will want to keep going back for more.

You could always combine a cruise from Port Canaveral with an Orlando stay!
