2017 is nearly over

Well I am sat here on my Christmas Leave reflecting on what a great year it has been for me.  Next year will mark 6 years at Cruise.co.uk and 17 years within the cruise industry a fact I cannot quote believe as it has flown.

Well back to reflecting on this last year.  Personally it has been a whirlwind of a year with my eldest daughter Mia taking her exams – she did so well in them and has since started College along with a Job at a  Miss Selfridge Concession within Debenhams.  I am so extremely proud of the young woman she is becoming.  One of the highlights of the year really had to be her prom.  To me prior to Mia’s Prom I said it was just another Americanism and another money spinner – My view of this changed.  What a beautiful day – yes the Dress was Hugely expensive (plus car etc), but it was all worth it.  We started the evening at our home (after Mia had makeup and hair done), we had Friends and family round and then the prom was held at a lovely local hotel.  You can read my Blog here

Well I cant very well talk about one daughter without talking about the other.  Again Very proud of Lexie my youngest.  Both my girls dance so they are both no strangers to performing, Lexie decided this year she wanted to audition for the local Panto.  Well the audition went really well and she is currently performing in Cinderella, and she is loving it.  I am going to see it on the 27th December and cannot wait.

I also turned 40 this year – which was a big deal for me.  I had lots of family and friends get togethers and really stretched out my birthday through the whole month of May – Finishing with a cruise for me and my partner on board Celebrity Eclipse – It was my second time on board and again absolutely loved it.  Read my blog here

In terms of my year work-wise it has been a very busy year and I have really enjoyed it but the highlight was a trip to China where I experienced one of our Cruise land based add on tours.  It was such a great experience and one of the best in my 16 (nearly 17) year career.  You can view the latest blog about it  here
