Arcadia we loved you !

Hi All, So just to let you know had a fab birthday and now I am 50 wow! where has the time gone, I have also been lucky enough to join our Forum members onboard Arcadia for a wonderful little 3 nighter to Guernsey.

So Shannon and I were privileged to join our fantastic Forum members on Arcadia, their wealth of knowledge is worth its weight in gold. The company was fantastic and the ship as always with P and O was amazing.

When we boarded, (which took us no time at all) we headed straight to the back of the ship to the bar and they had singing , some guests were already thinking of diving into the Jacuzzi (a bit cold for me.)

Then the cabins were ready and I must admit never having been in an ocean view on P and O I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was.

So we unpacked and headed out to explore. The grill on the pool deck was fantastic and every member of staff we encountered could not be more helpful. (just a tip but if not getting a drinks package if you are ok with Pepsi max ask for that as much cheaper than the bottled coke.)

The main dining room is over 2 floors with the upper tier for the anytime diners and lower for the fixed dining, the food in there was wonderful. My colleague Amar Baines who was heading up the group of us is Gluten free and they were amazing with him in both the main dining room and the buffet. Every night they brought him the menu for the following evening for him to choose and nearly all the dishes could be made gluten-free for him, it was handy to have a peek too.

This is the four of us from cruise.co.uk that accompanied the forum guests. Shannon, Robb, Amar and myself all suited and booted for the formal night.

The ship has a lovely deck area and spaces for smokers to go that was not too cold.

The captain on the first day decided that as the weather on Sunday was due to be awful and the weather on Saturday much better swapped the itinerary round, which meant that the guests could get off to see Guernsey and he was right to do so. Saturday was beautiful. Also gave the guests time to get in a bit of sunbathing.

Shannon and Robb tried the pool on our colder day, but the roof was across so a lot warmer.

I stayed dry LOL !

There is a casino, theatre, show lounge and plenty of lovely areas to chill enjoy a drink read a book. I would thoroughly recommend Arcadia and I just hope when you try her out you will have as experienced cruisers as we had with our forum guests to keep you entertained. (did you know there was a camel in Egypt called Micheal Jackson!) Thank you to our guests for the knowledge and the fun.
