Whats New – Amy Johnson
Cruise & Maritime Voyages is launching 2 new ships for 2021 and both will be named after pioneering female explorer –
last year they announced they will be adding two ships from P&O Australia in Singapore in 2021, Pacific Dawn, which will take over from the Columbus as CMV’s new flagship, & Amy Johnson after the English pilot who became the first woman to solo fly from the UK to Australia in 1930.
One of the many nice things about the ship is the size she will be carrying 1400 passengers on board, this is what makes Cruise & Maritime Passengers keep coming back to them, she is a mid-sized ship and will have plenty of lifts scattered around.
To start her life with CMV she is going to be upgraded next year in March 2021 for the start of her life with them.
FOOD…
Doesn’t matter if you are looking for informal dining or something a bit more formal, there are plenty of restaurants scattered around the ship, if you want to try the buffet style of eating then you can try the Pantry or The Waterfront Restaurant where you will have the full service from the staff or even better when the weather is fine you can dine outside at the Al Fresco Grill.
There are 11 bars and lounges so something to suit all tastes.
AT NIGHT…
Good entertainment they will have a Palladium type of show lounge with tiers so you will get a good view from wherever you are sitting, guest artists will be on board there is also a nightclub the Observatory and disco on board for the night owls
PUBLIC AREAS…
She will have a three -decked Atrium where people can meet along with shops, photo gallery, the excursions deck, card room the list goes on and on of the facilities she will have, a card room and of course the Gym, which you always tell yourself you are going to visit and never do….
OUTSIDE…
Two swimming pools will be on board along with with whirlpools and something nice and new for CMV clients an outside movie screen, but not just movies they will play popular sporting events too – so you won’t lose out when you’re away…that will be popular I’m sure.
Definitely worth a try on the new addition to CMV family… Happy Sailing..
