Mardi Gras is Carnival Cruise Lines new baby Launching August 2020 from Copenhagen.
She will also be the first in North America to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), a fuel which produces almost zero emission and represents a huge turning point for Carnival Cruise Lines.
She will be the largest ship in their fleet and will carry 6500 Guests.
So what is the star attraction? – BOLT -The Ultimate Playground will include the largest and most elaborate Carnival WaterWorks aqua park in the fleet, as well as an expanded SportSquare. It also will feature BOLT: Ultimate Sea Coaster, the first roller coaster at sea, where riders will travel along an 800-foot-long track at speeds of nearly 40 miles per hour. Carnival is generally known as having “Fun Ships” and not a huge UK market, their sea days are called “Fun day at sea” but Mardi Gras will be known as an incredible resort at sea offering a huge variety of exciting entertainment, fabulous dining and relaxing accommodation options. From the ships I’ve seen they do appeal to the younger guests with good facilities for the children.
