The best hotel I have ever stayed in… Part 1& 2

if I had a penny for every time I have said I wish it was this time last week I would be rich because it seems I say it every ten minutes!

Why? Atlantis The Palm Dubai! Yes this time last week I had the pleasure of room 4414 for a 4 night stay Bed and Breakfast and to say I am missing it is an understatement !

i am already scouting websites for availability and prices to go back lol!

so why was Atlantis so special !

From the moment the car pulled up to the red carpet entrance you felt like a movie star ! The attention to detail was like something I have never experienced before !

The way you were greeted on arrival the way your suitcases were discreetly taken off you to your room , the VIP check in where you were given iced tea and a hot towel in a beautiful lounge whilst you were checked in all whilst in the most glamorous of surroundings!

I stayed in a oceanview room with Imperial Club Benefits  but there was nothing standard about it , it was the ultimate in luxury with the most wonderful views below.

I would also recommend upgrading to an Imperial Club Room where you benefit from extra Benefits. Your own restaurant with a wonderful terrace and where champagne breakfasts , afternoon teas and 5-7pm happy hour is a daily normal occurance. Of course it was only manners to participate in all 🙂

Day one was spent at the water park included for hotel guests ! The rides were fantastic and I spent most of my time on the lazy river filled with tsunami waves and rapids great fun for all ages ! It was hot 34’c so plenty of sun cream and water needed ! At two pm I was lucky enough to experience Aqua Trek £75pp but a once in a lifetime experience where you walk under water in the aquarium with 65,000 marine animals including sting rays and sharks! A ten minute safety briefing then 20 minutes walking on a shelf 20 foot under water as sharks stingray and the most stunning fish swim around you! Totally breathtaking once the nerves have worn off.

Day 2

After waking up to a late champagne breakfast in Imperial Club it was time to head to one of Atlantis’s exclusive beach clubs. This one is Nasimi, one of Dubai’s hottest beach clubs with restaurant , DJ’s on beautifully pristine white sands. I loved the vibe here and with beautiful double and single beds just a stones throw away from the sea which was lovely and warm and inviting. We spent the day here and it was wonderful to eat take in a corona or two and just relax in the sun, highly recommended and with amazing service.

I took this picture whilst in the sea looking back………

In the evening time to get our glad rags on for our date in At.Mosphere on floor 122 of the Burj Khalifa, defnitely a must when visiting Dubai to experience the tallest building in the world with the most amazing views of the cit especially at night. My ears popped going up in the lift which I guess is to be expected when your travelling to those heights.

Opened in 2010 Burj Khalifa stands at 828 metres high, made by Samsung it has 164 floors. No floors above the 124th floor are habitable. The 124th Floor is an observation deck , the highest in the world. £45 per adult to pay if you are wanting to travel to floor 124.

At.Mosphere, the tallest restaurant in the world. Wow the whole dining experience was amazing and the cost to eat here is for the faint hearted but for a special occasion worth every penny. We were treated like royalty here and were surrounded by Dubai’s wealthiest.

High tea including non alcoholic drinks  with window seating will set you back around £150 per head……..

What an absolutely amazing day in Dubai.

Day 3 Dhow Cruise – Emirates Mall – Dune Safari

Early start this morning, still time for a champagne breakfast of course 😉 then a 20 minute bus tour to the marina to enjoy a tour of Dubai from the water. Drink provided and a fabulous tour guide pointing out all the sights from a different angle. Was great to see Jumeirah Beach not what I expected as so built up but the beach stunning even so. Dubai is a strange one regarding you never actually can get your mindset around the location of everything as it is so spreadout and so vast its difficult to work out where everything is. I could have quite happily stayed another week to get a real feel of the place as a whole.

Dubai like to be the best and the biggest in everything they do, so here will be the biggest and tallest wheel in the world when it is set to be completed in 2020.

Next Stop Emirates Mall, now if you love shopping then this is the place for you. Absolutely huge and incorporating an amazing skiing area with ski slopes where you can also go tobogganing with the family. You could spend a full day here, and the infamous cheesecake factory is always hugely popular….

The Dubai Mall opened in 2005 and is home to Indoor Skiing , Cinemas, restaurants and 100’s of shops from designer to highstreet. It was a little like the trafford center to be honest with you and for any shoppers an absolute dream.

In the evening it was time for the Dune Bashing , absolutely loved it but not for the faint hearted . Up and down the sand dunes at speed goodness me how the cars do not turn over who knows but absolutely fabulous. Just as the sun was setting you are taken to an area which is beautifully set out with great food , shisha, henna , a fabulous bar and finished off with a little belly dancing , not by me though 😉

5 of you in a 4×4 , first of all the drivers let out the air of the tyres.
