QUANTUM ULTRA CLASS IS THIS FOR YOU

I recently had the pleasure of spending a day on Royal Caribbeans latest addition Spectrum of the Seas, named the first Quantum Ultra Class but what was Ultra about it………………….

First  the stunning art work on board. Art is huge on Quantum Class with every piece of art, original in its concept to this particular ship.

If you remember every Quantum class ship has an animal master piece on board. Remember Gigi the Giraffe!! Well on Spectrum we have mum and dad panda rescuing baby panda.

It truly i absolutely magnificent, nothing I have ever seen on board any ship, truly magical in its presentation the modern art on board is to be seen to be believed.

If you didn’t know already Spectrum has been purposely designed for the Chinese market, based in Shanghai year round, chinese passengers are in for a real treat. With this in mind it was only right that their are many Chinese dining experiences on board.

Sichuan Red- A first for Royal Caribbean offering authentic cuisine from the Sichuan provence.

Leaf and Bean – A great little addition, I really liked it in here . Offering traditional Chinese teas and pastries. If you have been to China you will be very familiar with Chinese tea houses so this is a rather nice touch. The fresh coffee too gives off a beautiful aroma as you walk in.

Tepanyaki, seen on other Royal ships and in the traditional Japanese style you would expect

Izumi – One of my favourite restaurants and don’t forget they do takeaway here too 🙂

Splashaway CAfe serves up freshly made noodles and offers live chefs demonstrations too for all budding chefs out there.

Windjammer, now this was huge the biggest windjammer restaurant than on any other Royal Ship. 20% bugger offering a huge variety of Chinese and Western food. Believe me the food in here was absolutely delicious and so much more choice than I have ever seen.

So what else can we expect

Bvlgari and Tiffany are on board if you like to spoil yourself. I am very much a Tiffany fan

Ultimate Family Suite – great for groups as now sleep up to 11 guests. I often am asked about groups and families travelling together well now you can stay together on this amazing 2 level suite .2809 square feet I think says it all about how big this suite actually is. 3 Bedrooms in total. Master bedroom with en suite. 2nd bedroom and then on the upper floor the piece d resistance, the childrens bedroom with a slide down to the lower level . How cool is that.

Sky Pad, I saw this and this looked fab for kids and adults of all ages. A Bungee Trampoline park where you are strapped in with headset and as you jump you are transported to a another time and planet. WOW.

Finally Suite Club, an exclusive area for all suite guests on decks 13-16. You will have your own private elevator and your own private restaurant and lounge. Sound Good?

Spectrum really is at the front of technology and that is what Quantum Class is all about and has been from the start. Offering Digital keys, automated stateroom controls and immersive AR games, This ship is totally awe inspiring. The only downside was I was only on board for 8 hours.
