My Lodge with a hot tub comes highly recommended

3 NIghts away in the North Yorkshire moors with only the cows for company and I don’t mean my lovely friends who i was sharing with. What more could you ask for for a weekend away.

Fairweather Grange in Ilkley is one of the best lodges I have been to. Set amid 9 acres of land with nothing to see in the distance apart from the rolling hills and the aircraft lights of the planes coming in at Leeds Bradford Airport 7 miles away.

These lodges really do have the rustic charm that you would expect of a lodge , even the smell when you walk in reminds me of a log fire burning.

Service absolutely impeccable , greeted on arrival by the owner in a buggy and taken to our lodge where a bottle of bucks fizz and a box of milk tray awaited us.

3 bedrooms, master room with ensuite, twin bedroom and a further bedroom with bunk beds.

I will be honest with you we didn’t leave the lodge until Sunday. We just sat outside on the deck during the day, feasted on fabulous homecooked meals of Lasagna and Chilli that my friends had made and sampled the champagne prosecco and gin that we had brought with us.

The sun shone all weekend and as the sun went down in the hot tub we went . Laughter was the order of the weekend playing silly games and catching up on each others lives as you do.

Sometimes you just need to get away from the rat race and enjoy some tranquility too.

My last break now possibly until my cruise in December.
