About Me

Hello! I am Hayley and welcome to my page.

I am happily married to my lovely husband Mark and have 3 children Sophia is 13, Alexander is 10 and Oliver is 8. We have two dogs Lola the black lab and Sky the Siberian Husky! Life is chaotic at times, but I love it!

My passion for travel came at a young age, I love to learn about new cultures and visit amazing places. Cruising has been in my family a long time, I think it runs through our veins! My parents were hooked on the days of Airtours Sunbird and Ocean Village, I remember watching the home videos thinking how amazing it all looked! My brother worked on Carnival Cruise Line and later Holland America as a shore excursions manager. I did not get to go on my first cruise until October 2014, from then on, I couldn’t think of doing any other sort of holiday!

I started working the cruise industry 3 years ago and have never looked back. I look forward to talking cruises with you all!

Hayley’s Cruise Flicks favorite European destination: Norway

Back in April 2015 my husband and I were lucky enough to go on Britannia’s maiden season and its first cruise to Norway. I was not sure what I was expecting but the beauty of the fjords was like no where else on earth I had seen! It was stunning and one I would recommend every cruiser to do! I am so excited to be go back but this time on Iona’s maiden in May 2020!

North America

Haiti (labadee), Mexico, Puerto Rico, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St John, Saint Martin, United States – including NYC, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Miami.

Hayley’s Cruise Flicks favorite North American destination: Labadee 

The minute we docked into Labadee I fell in love! Royal Caribbean’s private island is just a beach paradise! I have never been is such crystal colored sea and white sand! Along with the obvious beach fun there are some amazing activities available too. The Dragons Breath Zip line is not one for the faint hearted as it whizzes you down the line at speeds up to 50mph! Another huge hit is the Dragons Tail Roller coaster.   Single track coaster, reaching speeds of 35mph and Located 680 feet up. It works it way round the mountainous area back down to the beach, with some stunning views along the way!

Africa

I have only been lucky enough to visit South Africa, but my gosh what a place to visit! We landed in Cape Town and worked our way through the garden route stopping in some incredible places along the way! From table top mountain to Addo Elephant Park Safari, Stellenbosch and Knysna. Too many places to say which is my favorite! For an experience you will never forget, South Africa is an absolute must!

Hayley’s Cruise Flicks favorite cruise ship: Queen Mary 2

It is hard to say which is my favorite, but I would have to say Cunard’s Queen Mary 2. I do love the transatlantic crossing, the glamour and history of a bygone era, it fascinates me. I love dressing up of an evening, meeting some truly wonderful people in such beautiful surroundings. Afternoon Tea in the queen’s room is an absolute must! Then sailing into New York at 5am, seeing the bright lights of the big apple getting closer, liberty shining her torch up close, a sight to behold!
