How cheap is that for a private Jet2

After so many recent bad news stories that have impacted the travel world with terrible Hurricanes and Typhoons, Earthquakes and then the collapse of much loved airline Monarch and then P&O’s strange decision to sell Adonia and announce it at very short notice it’s really nice to hear of a story that puts a smile back on my face.
You may have seen the Story in question is of a lady who booked a very cheap flight seat for a trip to Greece from Glasgow to Crete and got a lot more than she bargained for as she ended up with the full plane to herself. Karon Grieve, from Dunlop in Ayrshire, Scotland, paid just £46 for a flight from Glasgow to Crete and was astounded to find she was the only passenger on board. Can you imagine that a plane that holds 189 passengers and your are the person onboard. In fact the flight only had three people booked on it in the first place so when two failed to show up that Karon on her own.
I love the though of turning up to the airport one day and then going to board the plane and looking round and just me, hmmm what seat, row or side would I even pick. Just think of the room and nobody buying the last tube of pringles when the trolley goes round.
Now as Karon  was outnumbered by cabin staff 4 to 1 she was treated like a VIP. It’s said they were all on “best friend terms” It Goes on to say how good the captain was she even sat beside her while the first officer did all the flight checks and we were chatting about the flight.” It went even further with being personally addressed by the pilot from the cockpit. “Every time she made an announcement she said, ‘Hi there Karon, you’ll see Croatia on your left-hand side”.
They even went through a lightning storm and the captain said, ‘Hi Karon and the girls, quickly run to the other side of the plane and look at this, it’s amazing’. It was just surreal.”
I just love this story even though I can understand why people will say why did the flight go with only one person on and who paid such a cheap fare. Should it not have been cancelled and what about the cost to the enviroment. If you are thinking that well I’m sure in part it was to do with the logistics of having to get the plane from Glasgow to Crete as I gather it had a lot more people waiting to return.
I think I will be booking my next flight with Jet2 in the hope I get the VIP treatment too
