After so many recent bad news stories that have impacted the travel world with terrible Hurricanes and Typhoons, Earthquakes and then the collapse of much loved airline Monarch and then P&O’s strange decision to sell Adonia and announce it at very short notice it’s really nice to hear of a story that puts a smile back on my face.
You may have seen the Story in question is of a lady who booked a very cheap flight seat for a trip to Greece from Glasgow to Crete and got a lot more than she bargained for as she ended up with the full plane to herself. Karon Grieve, from Dunlop in Ayrshire, Scotland, paid just £46 for a flight from Glasgow to Crete and was astounded to find she was the only passenger on board. Can you imagine that a plane that holds 189 passengers and your are the person onboard. In fact the flight only had three people booked on it in the first place so when two failed to show up that Karon on her own.
I love the though of turning up to the airport one day and then going to board the plane and looking round and just me, hmmm what seat, row or side would I even pick. Just think of the room and nobody buying the last tube of pringles when the trolley goes round.
