Be proactive to make your drinks cost attractive!

Lets see who will be the first to admit it that once you have booked your cruise you leave everything until “Nearer the Time”. We have all done it and think I’ll get around to checking on the details tomorrow or the next day. After all you have done the hard part of actually talking to someone and getting booked at a price you are pleased with so everything else can wait it’s like holiday mode kicks in there and then.

Now i’m not saying that is a bad thing and I am probably guilty of this myself on several of my trips over the years. I’ve left parking and insurance until the last minute which I don’t recommend. I have even bought spending money on the day I have been traveling so I know what it’s like to be in that frame of mind.

So where am I going with this, Well I book a lot of customers with Royal Caribbean and if you know anything about cruises or even if you just see the promotions that they run in adverts and on the website a lot of the time they have a book now and get a Free Al Inclusive drinks package. I’m sure you will of noticed me mention things like this a lot. So if you have booked and you got the Free drinks great no need for you to read on. If not and you are like me and have booked at just a cracking price when the next years cruises first went on sale or on the buy one get one half price promotion you wont have your drinks package included. Lot’s of you when you first hear this it seems to be the end of the world especially when you see it is $55 per day to pre-purchase or the same plus gratuities on the ship. You can sometimes hear the mental calculations and the shock when they work out that is $770 each on a two week cruise……….

Well I always like to tell customers that Royal Caribbean do weekend promotions sometimes, not all the time but it does seem to be once a month to every six weeks or so were you can save upto 30% off that price. So you that $770 soon becomes $539 and that sounds a whole lot better. Everyone seems to be on a winner and once again we are the smart ones as or cruise with paid drinks is cheaper than the Free drinks customer on the sunlounger next to us.

There just seems to be one slight problem that nobody seems to be booking this when the offer is on and then calling me and asking when it will be. It it usually the case that I say it was on over the weekend or last weekend. Why did nobody tell me?……….Well the answer is simple if you had gone on to the Royal Caribbean system it shows you under manage my booking –
