You knew it was coming sooner or later, didn’t you!

Carpets fit for a Celebrity, is all I can say of the carpets on Eclipse. There were some real stunners on board and I hope I have captured most of them and done them justice. I even had to get down to get up close and personal with them this time!

It never ceases to amaze me how these highly patterned, loud and gaudy carpets seem to blend in so seamlessly, and almost inoffensively, with the surrounding decor and furnishings on a cruise ship, yet they do. I can’t say that I would give any of them houseroom at Chez Wilson but there you go, each to their own.

I would love to be able to speak to the designers who choose these carpets and ask them where they get their inspiration from and how on earth they can envisage the final ‘look’ and be sure that the carpets will blend in. One day, maybe………….
