P&O OFFERING A DRINKS PACKAGE, GOOD OR BAD NEWS?

Some people love a drinks package, but others think that it attracts the “wrong sort” of guest, what do you think?

The news is that from the 21st July, only on P&O Azura during the trial, there will various packages available – hot drinks, non-alcoholic, and children’s – and the Ultimate Drinks Package. This trial will run for 1 month and It will cost £39.95 per person per day.

The principal features of this are:

• An incredible array of beers, single measure spirits, cocktails and wines by the glass up to £6.95 as listed on our menus
• Unlimited draft soft drinks, mocktails, primo Costa coffees, teapigs teas, hot chocolates and small bottled water (500ml only)
• 20% discount on the following items: drinks above £6.95, bottles of wine, large bottles of water, canned and bottled soft drinks, juices and smoothies
• Travelling with children 16 or under? We’ll include the Children’s drinks package at no extra cost!

Each adult assigned to the same cabin must purchase the drinks package. Sharing of packages is not permitted.

•  Only available on cruises of five nights or more and must be purchased for every day of the cruise
• Strictly non-refundable
• Alcoholic drinks are limited to 15 beverages per 24-hour period (6 am to 6 am)
•  Only one drink at a time may be ordered (there is a minimum 15-minute wait between orders)
• You must be over 18 (21 in USA waters)
•  All bottles and cans will be served open

If this is a success then it may be rolled out across the fleet.

So, if you are on a 14-night cruise, the total cost for 2 of you is £1118.60, no that means you need to drink a lot of wine to get your money`s worth.
