Exciting news! Jane Mcdonald has landed a 4th series of the ever popular Cruising With Jane McDonald! I’m really excited to see just which cruise lines and destinations Jane will be telling us about!
If you read my last blog, I wrote about the American Steamboat trip along the Mississippi River, one of the many trips I’ve added to my Bucket List! Sailing back in time to the American South steeped in Civil War, The Birth of the Blues, Jazz, & Plantation Houses sparks my imagination! Check out this amazing Tailormade itinerary! DEEP SOUTH
The show has proved to be a resounding success with audience figures growing series by series! In fact the show has proved to be so popular it has now been nominated for a Bafta Award! – Go Jane! I must admit it was a ‘grower’ for me. The first series was disappointing as it seemed it was very much about Jane, and not so much about the Cruise Lines, Ships and destinations she was visiting. However, much has improved since then, and I am now an avid fan! I think its because she comes across as very natural, not scripted, and has a genuine passion for cruising and meeting us ordinary folks on board. She is able to make everyone she meets feel at ease with her friendly personality.
The destinations havent been announced yet, however a Channel 5 spokesperson confirmed that the programme was due to return for a fourth series this Summer and said destinations would be announced “closer to transmission”.
So far Jane has sailed with MSC, Princess, HAL, Viking, Avalon, Celestyal, Uniworld & the Majestic Line.
Which ship would you like to see her sail on, and where do you think Jane will be exploring next?
Thanks for reading
