Who Is Your Favourite?

Who Is Your Favourite Cruise Line?

Or perhaps you don’t have a favourite cruise line – perhaps it is a favourite ship?

There are so many choices out there that I think it is really difficult to pick one – don’t you?

Can you imagine what it must be like if you haven’t cruised before trying to decide on which cruise to choose – should I go for the itinerary? Facilities on the ship? Luxury? All Inclusive? – it is definitely not an easy choice.

So for anyone looking at a cruise I have put together a few points that may be worth considering.

Firstly – decide on your budget and please be realistic. Cruises are fantastic value for money but you wouldn’t expect to get a land based holiday for a family of four in school holidays for £1500.00 would you?

Then decide where, for how long and when you want to cruise –   there is so much choice – short break ” taster ” cruises, departures from Southampton, fly cruises to Europe or perhaps something more exotic – South America, Asia etc. If it’s your first cruise then a UK departure or a fly cruise from Venice may be better options to look at.

Where do I sleep? – I think this links back to budget – and it is something I am asked a lot about – I can’t tell you how many times I am asked to give a price for an inside/outside or balcony on the same cruise! Yes, it is great to book a balcony cabin and get the extra space, but is it worth it? On certain ships they now have inside cabins that have windows overlooking the atrium of the ship or there are virtual balcony cabins, so again, there are many options to discuss.

What about the food? – Well one of my top tips is wear any tight fitting clothes the first few days and pack a few loose clothes as you may need them! In general all your food is included in the cost of the cruise, most ships however, have speciality restaurants that offer different options and have a reasonable cover charge, these aren’t compulsory but are great if you want to try something different or are celebrating a special occasion on board.

Formal or not? Only you know if you like dressing up every night or just some nights. Even on the most formal of cruises there are options.

These are just a few ideas to get you thinking what it is you want.

I am here to help and get you the ideal cruise, so what are you waiting for? It’s one of the best ways to see the World we live in! Please get in touch as I would love to hear from you.
