The Amazing Royal Princess – Ship That Is!

I was recently lucky enough to spend 3 nights on board the beautiful Royal Princess sailing from Southampton to Dublin, and being a over of the recent hit cruise programme ‘The Cruise ‘ I had an idea on what to expect but actually sailing onboard her was a million times better!

Once you board the main centre point of the ship is the piazza, which constantly has a buzz surrounding it, from line dancing, speed painting, fruit carving plus more during the day you also have various bars and restaurants surrounding the piazza including international cafe and my favorite the Bellini bar too.

I found all aspects of dining onboard top notch , from the buffet restaurant during the day time, pizza in Alfredos which happens to be the best pizza at sea! Breakfast , lunch and dinner in the main dining room which were all fantastic and my favorite had to be Crown Grill. If you fancy a special evening onboard you have to try this place, the Filet Mijnon and lobster were delicious but the puddings just topped it off for me, always tempted with a good pudding !

Another highlight onboard was a particular show we went to see in the theatre, now im not the biggest lover of shows onboard ships I normally street away from the theater but this particular show sounded so interesting I couldn’t resist , composed by the director or Wicked and puppetry from the makers of Avenue Q and wow it did not disappoint! The Secret Silk, thats the name you need to look out for , a must see whilst onboard!

Whilst onboard I also purchased the drinks package which is definitely worth it if your planning on having a few cocktails or glasses of wine you have paid for the package straight away , nearly everything on the menu was included and under the $12 limit per drink so plenty of drinks choices.

From cabins, to service to the dining Royal Princess was truly a fantastic ship and I would be thrilled to sail on her again in the future!
