Royal Princess fit for a Princess!

It has recently been released that Princess cruise liners newest and most innovative ship the Royal Princess which is being launched in June is going to be christened by the beautiful Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, this is a really exciting time for the Princess cruises and the cruise industry to have the honour of Kate Middleton being the godmother of the liner and there will be a grand ceremony on the 13th June and will also include music from the royal marines and pipes of the Irish guards, in true British style!

The Royal Princess will have a host of astonishing new facilities including the glass sea walk elevated 128 feet above the ocean and 28 ft out from the side of the ship, movies under the stars will have the biggest screen yet as sea and will host movies and concerts along with a computerised lighting show and as palm tree fringed fountain shooting out water jets 33ft into the sky! Sounds an amazing way to spend an evening whilst sailing in warmer climates!

The heart of the ship will have a stunning Piazza area which will be double the size of any other atrium area on any other Princess ship!

Some of my fellow colleagues here at cruise.co.uk will be enjoying the celebrations down in Southampton at the ceremony and i am very much looking forward to seeing all of their photos and reports of how amazing I’m sure the ship will be and how the grand ceremony will be!

There are still a handful of spaces left on the maiden voyage down into The Mediterranean on the 16th June , so why not be one of the first people to sail onboard Princess’s most astonishing ship and book your place before you miss out!
