Emma On Cruise

How amazing does the Quantum look?

Last weekend Royal Caribbean’s newest ship sailed into Southampton, she spent the first 2 nights with a host of agents, celebrities and media onboard and then sailed on her maiden voyage across to New York!

Crowds of spectators lined the shore in Southampton to see the new arrival sail into port and what a sight she was!

The Quantum of the seas is not as large as the previous 2 ships that Royal Caribbean had launched the Oasis class which hold approximately 6000 passenger’s, they have opted for a smaller size of just over 4,000 guests. But she is set to be the most initiative ship yet and judging by the photos she has really lived up to this title!

Forget the usual Royal Caribbean decor and ‘fun’ side the ship has opted for a more contemporary and modern interior similar to her sister liner Celebrity Cruises but with the added extras such as the Bumper cars, iFly by ripcord, the North Star and Two70c.

Another first for the company is that the ship runs on a Dynamic dining basis, there are 5 complimentary restaurants included and you have no set time or table, you can turn up at whatever time you like or if you would like a set time you can book a table on the Royal Caribbean website before you travel or once onboard.

Jamie Oliver even has his own restaurant onboard which I’m sure will be a huge hit for both Royal Caribbean and Jamie Oliver himself!

The ship’s signature feature ( I have decided anyway! ) Is the pink polar bear ! Have you spotted this yet? If not see below!

All in all the Quantum looks like a fabulous ship and I would definitely sail on her for my own holiday in the future!
