MSC MERAVIGLIA MAKES HISTORY!

This week, MSC Cruises made history.

One of their newest ships, and 5th largest in the world docked in Invergordon as part of an 11 night voyage from Hamburg, Germany. MSC Meraviglia is the largest cruise ship ever to dock in Scotland and has attracted a wealth of attention from International media outlets!

This signifies a huge day for the Scottish cruise industry as a whole, bringing more visitors, and more well needed revenue to the local area. MSC Meraviglia’s 5,700 passengers will support local businesses and spread the word on the ever growing MSC hysteria.

She’ll also be visiting Kirkwall and Greenock this week kicking the Scottish summer season off in style. Invergordon alone this year will see a whopping 170,000 cruise passengers. The figure is an 11% increase on last season’s number of passengers.

So not only is this fantastic for Scotland, but also fantastic for MSC Cruises.

They have a fantastic opportunity to showcase one of the newest, state-of-the-art vessels afloat and blimey is she a beauty!

The ship was the first of the line’s next-generation ships to enter service last June as part of a £9.2 billion pound investment.
