Down to the River to pray…

City view of Old town Cochem with the typical half-timbered colorful houses, hotels and restaurants, Reichsburg Imperial castle landmark on a mountain, Mittelmosel, Moselle river, Rhineland-Palatinate in sunny spring time Deutschland, Europe

Tomorrow I will fly to Basel in Switzerland to board Fred Olsen Cruise Lines Brabant for another lovely 7 night cruise, this time – in reverse to last year, Dusseldorf.

Last year I absolutely loved the Brabant, the crew, the food, the weather, the cabin, the ports. So I thought this year, I had a week’s spare holiday that I would put it to good use, sailing back on the Rhine!

The ports are similar but we venture deeper in to the Moselle and enjoy lots of stunning scenery through the Moselle and Rhine Valley’s.

There has been a slight change in itinerary due to an incident which means we will now be travelling by coach, courtesy of Fred Olsen, to Mannheim where we will board the Brabant and sail our original itinerary.

Along with the superb food on board, I will enjoy plenty of relaxing entertainment such as quizzes and local shows whilst mingling with the small number of fellow passengers on board.

The food is amongst some of the very best I have ever experienced on a floating vessel, and the formality of a full service breakfast, lunch and dinner feels so Regal, like you are really being spoiled.

River cruising is such a fantastic way to see the world we live in, I am so excited to get back on board tomorrow.

But first, I have to pack, in fact at 7:52pm with my flight in just 12 hours time, I haven’t ironed one piece of clothing, or even collected from the loft!!

Happy Cruising!
