Schools Out For Summer

Remember the feeling of the last day of school and breaking up for the summer holidays? A whole 6 weeks (Or sometimes longer!) Of Freedom to enjoy the sunshine – Well Children up and down the country will be experiencing this now and lots of people are wanting to get a great last minute deal.

With Cruising such a popular choice for everyone’s main holiday a question I get asked regularly is when is the best time to book?

Choice is a big factor to consider when booking your cruise, by booking early (Sometimes 18 to 24 months prior to sailing) You will get to choose our preference of cruise line/Cabin Type and destination this is especially important if you only want to sail from the UK, are travelling in a larger family and want cabins close together. Cruise lines also offer various perks for booking early such as Drinks packages/On board Credit/Free dining packages and much more.

If you are leaving your plans until last minute do consider during peak sailing periods such as the school holidays – Families may not fit in one cabin, Cruise lines will offer Guarantee cabins which is very much pot luck as to where on the ship you will be and for families may mean having to split cabins in order to secure your preferred cruise. It may also be worth considering our options when it comes to Fly Cruises as to where you can fly from, August is the busiest month to travel and Plane seats can fill up very quickly.

Time – You can save yourself hours of researching for a good last minute deal, if you see a significant price drop during peak summer months that fits your requirements – Don’t wait, cruise lines may offer price reductions to fill up cabins however these sell out extremely quickly and you won’t be the only person shopping for a bargain.
