What an unbelievable year!

As I sit here reflecting on this past year and all the beautiful places I have had the opportunity to see (through work and personally) I wanted to write my last blog for this year 2017 and finish on a high.

So this year I have visited the beautiful places of, Dubai, Muscat, Oman, Abu Dhabi, Cornwall, Sardinia (Cagliari), lake Garda, Verona & Venice.

Wow, when you say it like that, it’s quite unbelievable  to me that I have traveled to this many destinations this year.

Which places have stood out for me the most?

Well to be honest, I  honestly feel that each destination in there own way was beautiful however the three that stoid out for me the most would be, Dubai, Venice & Lake Garda.

Dubai- I had always heard of people travelling to Dubai and just loving it over there and it had always been a place for me on my bucket list that I really wanted to travel to.  I absolutely loved watching the water fountains show next to the stunning Burj Khalifa which was just incredible.to look at too. Then going to the gorgeous harbourfront and watching the multi-million dollar yachts pull. The beaches over there were just beautiful. Would I go back? … most definitely

Lake Garda & Venice – my husband and I were chosen at cruise.co along with 3 others to go to Lake Garda and Venice to help put with an escorted tour that our customers had booked.  (My husband Jamie works at cruise.co as well)

Seeing the stunning lakes in Garda was quite an experience I was I complete awe at the size of the lake and when we took a boat tour over to the neighboring market towns it felt like you was sailing on the open seas and not just a lake. We visited some beautiful, quaint little towns such As, Sirmione, Garda, Limone which was a combination of historical architecture, including a medieval castle set on the back drop of the lake in Sirmione, to the hustle and bustle of an old market town in Garda.

One consistency which we found in each of the towns we visited was the high quality of alfresco dining & fine wines, matured in the Tuscany region and beautiful men & women’s fashion.

How can I summary Venice, in short it’s like no other place that I have been too. Surrounded by tiny narrow streets and individual islands, I found our gondola ride fascinating to learn the history of this fabulous Italian ancient capital city.

If I am being completely honest I have far too much to show and tell you in this blog alone, so I have decided to do an individual review of my time in lake Garda as well as Venice and Verona.

See you in the new year where you can learn more about my experiences abroad.

In the mean time have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
