Alexa! What’s The Most Modern Ship In The World?

This week I learned that MSC in my opinion one of the world’s fastest growing, forward thinking cruise lines are launching yet another first at Sea. They already have the exclusive contract with Lego and have a purpose built arena to host the Exclusive Cirque du Soleil at sea but such is MSC’s desire to be a world leader in cruising they are now using the very popular (AI) voice recognition Virtual assistant device Alexa to allow their passengers to have a truly unforgettable experience at sea.

The new technology will launch on The MSC Bellissima in March of 2019 but knowing this cruise line well I am convinced they are onto another winner here and we can soon expect this type of gadget on many ships in their extraordinary fleet.

What can it do for me I hear you ask?

Well, have you ever looked at your cruise planner and missed which bar the Jazz band were performing at or wondered what the phone number is for the restaurant reservations team as you fancy a specialty dining restaurant.

This smart devise brings you closer to information and stops all those unwanted questions at guest services. I expect you will also able to check out shore excursions and prices and even book your tickets from the devise as its likely to be synced to your on board account.

The beauty of this devise is it doesn’t matter if you are a technophobe as it uses very sophisticated voice recognition technology. So as long as you know what to ask for, the sky is the limit.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this one. Princess have the finest beds in cabins at sea in their view along with the finest Italian style pizza’s Royal Caribbean have the best internet. could MSC be leading the way with the best smart technology?
