Back from the Independence of the seas..

So I have just come back from the beautiful and newly revamped Independence of the seas. Well what can I say apart from just wow!

We got on board and was greeted with a glass of bubbly as we entered the ship. I thought this was a great personal touch of elegance. We then headed to do a shop tour as we could not get into our cabins until 1pm so thought this is a great time to explore.

First of all we headed to the royal promenade on deck 5. I have always loved this part of the ship. We explored all the different bars and shops, she honestly is such a beautiful ship and blows me away each and Every time I go on her.

We then went up to deck 11 pool deck where a fab live band was playing. I must say, as it was a mini cruise it was very busy but the atmosphere was electric. Although no beds where available on deck 11 due to being quite busy for sail away party, there were however lots of beds available up on deck 12 if you was struggling to find any.

We then headed to the windjammer buffet restaurant. I honestly think I walked around about 5 times before deciding what to eat as there was just so much choice. With Asian options such as noodles, stir fry, British with Calvary options, burgers, hot-dogs, chips, Indian with different Curry dishes, salads galore. They even had options for gluten free.. Honestly the list goes on and on. Just incredible, Great options for everyone with fantastic service.

It was now 1pm so we headed to our room. Once we arrived, our luggage was there waiting for us at the side of our cabin. What fantastic service! The cabin was an extra large balcony cabin which was just beautiful I would highly recommend one. The cabin was really spacious. Great for family’s as well.

some of the new additions on the ship such as play-makers sports bar, seemed to be very popular with many guests with many sport events shown on the big screen, along with great music, pool tables, basket ball hoop games and a great food menu such as buffalo chicken wings, nachos and potato skins.
