Tennis expert or maybe not?
Hi everyone.
I am back to work after a lovely 2 weeks off where i spent one of those weeks laying in the sun in Turkey.
Well I say laying in the sun but i spent most of the time keeping my 14 year old son entertained by having to participate in tennis, football, archery, parasailing, and Jet ski.
Firstly can I say I am not a fan of any sport and am afraid of heights so none of these activities were any good for me but I am a mum and that’s what we do.
Here is my husband and son at a traditional turkish restaurant
Whist playing tennis at 7am I was told by my son very quietly to not embarrass him and try and at least hit the ball forward rather than behind me. Yes I am useless and in fact my husband decided it was best I became ball boy to not draw attention. Well this was fine by me as I have no idea why on earth anyone would want to go on holiday with all their tennis attire to play in the extreme heat when you could be laying on the pool deck on a cruise ship sailing around the world.
In the hotel we stayed in I noticed that they adopt cats and they are looked after by the local vet. Now I am a huge animal lover and they always seem to find me no matter where we go.
So after 1 day we had a cat attached to us for the entire holiday, no matter where we went the cat came with us. It even stayed with us during the night.
My husband did have to wake up at 4am most mornings to let her out as she decided this was a great time to go exploring. My husband is used to our cats waking him up at home so he spent the whole holiday shaking his head in disbelief that he can’t have a break from them even when we are miles away ?
Well we are nearly into November and I cant believe where this year has gone to.
Are you thinking of a new cruise for next year? Maybe after christmas to escape the rain?

Thanks for all your help .This is the first time I have been on a ship with my scooter as although my walking wasn’t great I always managed to get around.Not anymore I really need the scooter now.Is it easy to navigate round the ship ?I love your blog.
