Diane's Cruise Delights

Our Cow Shed Review

So, our short break away to Cumbria was a huge success.

I mentioned last time that I was heading up North a bit further to Cumbria to spend a long Weekend in a Converted barn.

We normally book a Lodge at this time of year but fancied a bit of a change and settled on a Cottage instead. Never venturing too far from Home, Our Cottage was just over 2 hours away in a small town Called Aspatria.

The cottage was located on a working farm and there were other properties available to hire and a private swimming pool. It looked quite a small property from the outside but it was like stepping into a tardis. A large hallway greeted us which also led to a twin bedroom and a main Bathroom. On the next level was a pitched living area with exposed beams and a full sized Kitchen with all the home comforts.

At the far end of the living space was another small staircase leading to a further ensuite bedroom. Such a quirky little set up but giving you a huge amount of space.

We headed out to Keswick and Bassenthwaite lake. Such beautiful places and definitely places we will return to to spend longer there.

A great re charge to the batteries and will look forward to many more breaks away in our Beautiful Country

Until next time
