Crystal Clear

This Monday, I was lucky enough to spend the day on the beautiful Crystal Serenity in Dover. Whilst it was a grey and drizzly day, it was still a fantastic opportunity to meet up with some of my colleagues from Cruise.co.uk and get to experience this truly luxurious ship! I met up with Alison, Ava, Effie & Leanne in the cruise terminal where we swiftly embarked and were presented with a mimosa to enjoy a presentation on the Crystal product!

I really noticed how much space there was on board – very refreshing not to walk down crowded and narrow corridors. Crystal Cruises have the magnificent honour of being the World’s Most Awarded Luxurious Cruise Line! Crystal Serenity launched in 2003 and caters for only 980 guests! The service on board is 6*, anticipatory but never obtrusive. Every staff member we met was smiling and charming. Although the ship is 6*, it doesn’t feel pompous or over-the-top. There are no inside cabins here and most come with a balcony!

We then enjoyed a ship tour where we had the opportunity to take a peek inside of some of the beautiful cabins, the amazing restaurants & bars and finally topped off with a wonderful lunch in the Waterside Restaurant.

This is the Italian Speciality Restaurant Prego which serves Italian favourites with a modern twist.

There are some fabulous dining choices on board including Waterside which services modern specialties and classic favourites or perhaps try the cuisine of Chef  “Nobu” Matsuhisa in the Umi Uma & Sushi Bar – what other ship can you find that on?! I really liked the Silk Kitchen & Bar which services authentic Asian cuisine al fresco and especially loved the furniture

I found the cabins to be extremely stylish but not too extravagant!
