Conference 2017 – Cruise.co.uk style!

For most people going away for three nights to a fun filled conference is a joy to behold but when you have four children, one dog, two guinea pigs, one rabbit and a husband (and no I did not deliberately leave him till last) then it becomes a military operation.

Packing for everyone!

Not only do I end up packing for myself but as my husband works shifts I have to pack off the two youngest to their Nanna’s then their is the fact that my daughter and husband are both epileptic so I need someone to watch them! It starts becoming an enormous amount of work just to get out the front door and it can only be achieved by planning.

Rota for all!

I have to provide a rota showing where everyone is and who is doing what before I can leave – heaven help next June when I am off to South Africa for ten days!

In the end it was worth it though as I packed the car and headed off to Butlins in Skegness for a few days. As a home worker any opportunity to meet my colleagues who I have built up amazing relationships over the phone before we have ever met is worth traveling for.

We had three days of meeting old friends and new  and learnt how we are doing as a company and what we are doing well and sometimes not so well and how we can change it. We are lucky that we have amazing Directors who really listen to us and encourage us to come forward with ideas.

We also had talks from cruise lines such as Princess Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, MSC, Fred Olsen, Regent Seven Seas and APT and were given the opportunity to win trips to sample their products.

We had a sixties themed event and partied together and when the three days came to an end we parted having made new friends and reacquainted with old friends.

My team – I am the short one in front of the two guys!

Only 11 months and three weeks to Conference 2018 where will it be this time?
