Royal in for a Treat!

So Royal Caribbean has its newest Quantum class ship “Odyssey of the seas” joining one of the biggest fleets at sea in November 2020 where she will primarily be based out of Fort Lauderdale doing Western, Southern & Eastern Caribbean cruise itineraries between 4 and 9 nights. She will also offer occasional cruises to the Bahamas.

She will be a fairly smaller ship compared to the Oasis-class ship “Symphony of the seas” who is the biggest ship at sea with a tonnage of 228,081. The Odyssey of the seas will be a mere 168,666 gross tonnage and will have a maximum of 4905 passengers. So still a big ship. She will have all the mod-cons that all of her sister ships have along with something new that we are still waiting to find out what.

It will then be the 5th Oasis-class ship “Wonder of the seas” that will be entering service in 2021 and will be predominantly based in China wand she will be the first Royal Caribbean ship to introduce Spa Staterooms. This type of cabin will be geared up to those who love to be pampered with a host of special benefits allowing guests to book their treatments before boarding the ship. The cabins will be decorated with calming shades on blue and grey with the bathroom also boasting a jetted shower head. And of course, all of them will come with balconies.

So it’s an exciting time for Royal Caribbean for the next few years coming as I am sure we will start to hear even further news on the next ship to be joining the fleet.
