P&O Cruise Lines to Remove Gratuities

So I have just found out that P and O Cruise Lines are to remove Gratuities from all their cruises in May 2019. For cruise holidays departing from May 2019, the daily service charge on-board will be removed, which means more relaxing as you know its all been taken care of.

The news soon follows after P and O Cruise Lines trailed an All Inclusive venture on the Azura on the 21st of July for 1 month. On that basis, I believe the All Inclusive trial has gone very well if they are now deciding to remove the Gratuities.

It sounds very similar to Norwegian Cruise Lines a few years back when they decided to drop all the extras and become a fully inclusive cruise (guarantee’s excluded). P and O Cruise Lines seem to be joining the 21st century with their appeal to gain more of the UK market by going fully inclusive (All Inclusive package optional at £39.95pp per night).

Especially with the brand new P and O ship Iona on her way for Summer 2020 giving P and O the gap they need to gain the additional UK / European / worldwide market before anyone else. P and O Cruise Lines have seriously listened to their customer and what they want giving customers the freedom of choice and to have everything included in one price.

I did a recent survey on facebook page asking customers to vote yes or no if they believed that P and O Cruise Lines where doing the right thing introduc9ing the All Inclusive package at £39.95pp per night and the result was 82% yes and 18% no, which shows a significant agreement to P and O doing the right thing.

Why not take a look at our website for some deals for next year which will have the gratuities removed.
