Cruise with Carol

People go crazy On A Cruise ship… Simply shocking?

This week I thought I would touch on what people get up to when they get let loose on a ship, especially a brand new one.

You know what it’s like, you walk around hoping you get a chance to try everything out. This ship had Bumper cars, sky diving, roller skating and touchable art and so much more.

It was the brand new Ovation of the seas and myself and my daughter booked ourselves on it for the 5 night maiden voyage.

Also on the voyage were some really funny people, one couple in particular were also from Liverpool like myself and right from the coach journey down to Southampton I realised this would be a trip like no other and I wasn’t wrong.

This man (Tom)  that’s his real name, he had never been on skates in his life and I have to say throughout the cruise he had everyone in tears laughing so for all you sceptics out there who think cruising is boring let me tell you it really isn’t. Just take a look at this video, you need the sound on.

Sorry for the screams of laughter in the background

The ship was simply stunning, something for everyone and if you like your technology then it is perfect for you, from robots serving drinks to windows that become part of the show it had the lot. We even went to a silent disco! if you have never been to one and one is on when you are there on your own cruise then go to see it, you see everyone singing and dancing with headsets on but you cant hear music unless you wear them, funniest thing ever.

The ship is sailing around China and Japan throughout the summer so if you have always wanted to go then this ship is an amazing way to see it.

If you like your views then you can book a flight in the North Star which is a pod that rises above the ship and you end up 300 feet above the sea, we did it twice.

As always there is the glass floor on deck 13, as if that wouldn’t put you off standing on it

We even found a celebrity onboard, Darren Day

All in all it was an amazing experience and the man in the video was always a Cunard passenger but he was so amazed by it all he is now converted to Royal Caribbean.

You get lovely little gifts on a maiden voyage as well, from beers to chocolate and even a medal and certificate, it wont be the last maiden one I do.

Give it a go you will love it…I promise

Our website has lots of cheeky little mini cruises to try if you don’t want a longer one at first. just check it out. If you want the big ship experience with small ship prices then look at the October dates this year, there is a cracker of a 5 night one on the Independence of the seas on 24th October (half term). Just drop me an email or ring if you would like to know more.

Whats stopping you!!!
