Beauty at sea, it most certainly was

Last weekend I went on the brand new MSC Bellissima and we were promised an amazing time.
We had a very early 7 am start down to Southampton from Liverpool, the weather was awful as well.
We got down to Southampton just after 1 pm and we were greeted by the ship looking all new and every inch a Diva.

She really is a lot bigger than I thought she would be and I was wondering how check-in would go, well it took less than 20 minutes from walking into the terminal to actually being in the lift heading to the cabin, amazing.

The cabin was lovely and also had a few USB ports as well, under the lights next to the bed were USB ports so you can charge your phone and leave it on the bedside table, a nice little touch. Also in the room was the brand new Zoe (think Alexa). She was not fully working but understood little commands, she was in the process of being tweaked. The balcony was of a comfortable size with 2 chairs and a table.  A fridge was in the room but was set up as a mini bar but there was room if you needed to use it.

There was a decent amount of storage space as well and the sofa which turned into a sofa bed if needed was quite big. There was also a flat screen TV.

The bathroom I noticed in the shower had the little bar so that any ladies who shave their legs in there had an easy way to do it, lovely shower actually with decent hot water pressure. Big fluffy towels as well.

There was a lot of walking we needed to do as she is so long but even the weather could not dampen our spirits as we explored the ship, the Champagne bar was a favourite especially with the seafood, it’s a hive of activity.

The centre with the Swarovski staircases was as stunning as ever and the dome over the promenade walk was amazing, people were walking watching the skies as they changed to mermaids and butterflies as well as lot’s of other things, at one stage we were watching ourselves. Kids would love it.

Talking of kids they will have an amazing time, the bowling alley will certainly be used a lot and the Lego families were a cute addition as well as the water parks.

Food in the buffet areas was really nice with a huge selection to choose from and the speciality restaurants looked really good. Our evening meal was nice with Lobster and Salmon on the menu, also the beef was cooked really well, the chocolate on the dessert was made in their own chocolate shop onboard.

All in all it is a beautiful ship and I still have a few codes to get an extra 10% off for a few lucky people, if you are interested in an MSC cruise then just message me on 0333 300 2684
