A private island just for you.

So it seems that MSC are joining in and they also now have a private island in the Bahamas.
According to MSC, their new island will give their guests “a ticket to paradise”
Ocean Cay is around 20miles from the Bahamas and about 65 miles from Miami, in fact in mean it is close enough to the home port to give guests a taste of nighttime visiting.
There are 8 beaches and some of them will be reserved for passengers sailing in the Yacht club or Aurea or families plus I believe the crew may have one as well.
There will be a sunset beach and a lagoon beach and the main beach where the water sports and activities will happen.
There will even be a shipwreck you can snorkel down to.
There is a lot of coral around and MSC will give lectures on how it has cleaned the area up and how it will preserve it for the future, I am all for that.
So if you are going to be sailing the Caribbean from Miami which itinerary will have this, well the answer seems to be all of them.
You will be able to watch movies under the stars while your feet are still in the sand, sounds interesting, to say the least.
So what happens about food while you are there?
There will be a food cart traveling around plus there will be a big buffet as well but the ship will remain open for you to get on and off and you can still dine onboard if you wish.

From the ship, it is only 17 minutes walk to the furthest point so easy enough to get back to the ship if you need to without worrying about a taxi.
Deckchairs and some activities will be included in the cruise price, but cabanas, cocktails, island Wi-Fi, and sports like scuba diving will be extra. I believe you will be able to pre-book these via the MSC App.
The island will also have a couple of shops as well.
There are also plans for a second island that hold up to 40 people and this can be hired out for the day.
I think I like the sound of this, of course I doubt I could afford to hire it but someone will.
