I’m on Rocky Mountaineer!!

Today I’m on- board the famous, fabulous Rocky Mountaineer.

I have been married for 8 years this month, and for our anniversary we decided we would love to see the Canadian Rockies. I have heard nothing but amazing reviews from customers I have booked on-board, so I can’t think of a better way than with Rocky Mountaineer.

Travelling from Calgary to Banff, the first night we are staying at Banff’s Caribou Lodge. It looks amazing with the mountains surrounding the hotel in the background. We have arranged to visit Bow Falls, this is a must see in Banff and I have heard nothing but good feedback. And apparently I need to keep my eye’s peeled for a Caribou.

So today is the day we board Rocky Mountaineer in the amazing Gold Leaf Service. Travelling from Banff to Kamloops I will be on-board from around 7:30am to 6pm. All meals and drinks are included on Rocky Mountaineer in either Silver Leaf and Gold Leaf, the difference between Gold Leaf and Silver Leaf is mainly the large glass dome with panoramic views. It’s all about the scenery and taking some awesome pictures, so where better than in Gold Leaf.  You also have a separate dining area in Gold Leaf, so you do not have to sit in your seat to eat. The hotels are also a higher star rating in Gold Leaf.

Once in Kamloops we will have time to explorer that evening, and stay once again overnight. The following morning I will be back on-board Rocky Mountaineer and travelling from Kamloops to Vancouver. This again is a full day of sightseeing, and i’m hoping to take some amazing videos and pictures, which I will be sure to share on my return.

Once in Vancouver we will be staying at Georgian Court Hotel, and we have plenty of time to experience the city. The lookout is booked and a city tour.

See my blog next week and view all the pictures, read the reviews and more…
