Want a Deal?

We are quickly approaching the main summer season, I’m not sure how we’re in June already! A lot of calls and enquiries are for cruises later this year.

One company that have some super offers on at the moment is Marella. They have some AMAZING deals, most sailings are All Inclusive and they also include tips so some pretty great bargains to be had.

One of the main attractions for me are the itineraries, not only do they come with fancy names like ‘colourful coast’ ‘Ancient Affair’ and ‘Tropical Delights’ to name just a few. The itineraries are really spot on with hardly any sea days and lots of wonderful and interesting ports of call.

Marella, Thomson, Tui whatever you know them by, have long been a firm favourite with British Guests for years. The entertainment is often voted the BEST out of all the cruise lines. Food quality is always high and generally, get a big thumbs up all wrong.

Marella Cruises have 6 ships the largest being the Marella Explorer with 1924 passengers. The ships are relatively small in comparison to some cruise ships. An advantage of being small is getting to the small ports these big ships cannot get too. One of my favourite sailings with Marella Is their Caribbean 14 night back to back Cruise. You will Sail out of Barbados so no messing about your straight into the Caribbean. No seas days!

Day after day a new island of the Caribbean to explore. If you’re after a Caribbean cruise this is one to think about – you can also do this for just 7 nights if your short on time. Or maybe do a 7-night cruise and a 7-night stay in Barbados. Marella offer plenty of options for all they sailings, Including a couple of no-fly sailings, out of Newcastle.

So, if you’re looking for a smaller ship with a friendly atmosphere – great itineraries, wonderful entertainment, and delicious food the Marella should maybe be your next cruise.

Have you sailed with Marella? What are your thoughts? I would love to hear what you think.

Keep Cruising

  1. Completely disagree. We are just leaving Marella Discovery 2, our 1st Marella out of 30 cruises on varied lines.
The buffet was awful with all hot dishes barely lukewarm. The main restaurant was hit and miss. Often food not hot. Menus often don’t relate to what is served e.g. granola was raw porridge oats, seafood chowder without a single bit of the seafood listed, but lots of ham; very poor quality meat; cheap ingredients – even frozen peas were rock hard etc etc.
The entertainment consists of one night per week of a guest comedian and the rest in house shows, which were very poor to ok.
Heavy alcoholic drinking guests love the all inclusive, but beware it doesn’t include sparkling water or any diet soft drinks, as they come in cans, which are charged.
The cruises are very over priced compared to most other cruise lines, as a huge amount has to be added to pay for the extreme heavy drinkers. I would not recommend.
