Entertainment at sea

This weekend I had the privilege of going to a Gatecrasher 25 years celebration in my hometown of Sheffield this was 25 years worth of music played by a 50 piece orchestra along with an amazing light show it gave me goosebumps so many times that night and was made even more special by Faithless singing Insomnia live something that will stay with me always and so then it got me thinking to the entertainment at sea and what is your favourite kind of entertainment. I love really big theatre productions and shows that whisk me away to a magical place whereas my partner much prefers to sit somewhere quiet with background music on so we can talk and it not be too intrusive. Over the years I have seen how much entertainment has evolved onboard the cruise lines now with shows that are almost as good as being at a Broadway theatre. And not only that but if you were to go on one of the big Royal Caribbean ships you will see there amazing outdoor aquatic theatres where they perform like  Cirque de Soleil performances with water to music absolutely incredible. I have also noticed an influx of speciality mini cruises now that host famous DJs like Sara Cox the  radio 1 presenter hosted a back to the 80s cruise that was a complete sell out and had raving reviews and the most current one I have read about was a Royal Caribbean ship hosting a theatre workshop on board with Londons very own Lee Mead who wore a very famous technicolor dream coat holding acting classes and talks on working in the theatre industry. Most ships will now hold speciality cruises for example P&O have strictly come dancing cruises that always sell out and are very popular because the whole cruise has something dance related for all ages for the entire trip from getting to see the dancers outfits up close and personal and get to meet some of the behind the scenes seamstresses showcasing some of there amazing work to watching full dance shows by there very own dance troupe who doesn’t like a bit of sparkle at sea .
