Christmas Cruising

How many of us stress over Christmas and the whole build-up to it!! I started my Christmas shopping early this year as I have a 17 year old who has very expensive taste in everything lol so I have to start early and go hunting for all those bargains that triple in price the closer you get to Christmas and that is just how it is like in any retail scenario and so like a cruise if you leave it to the very last minute you either end up feeling disappointed with what is left or sold out altogether.

I want you to share with me if you have ever been on a cruise at Christmas time or the lead up to Christmas as I have never done a Christmas cruise due to visiting relatives or being roped into cooking for 101 people instead.

If you haven’t seen the ships go all out at Christmas and the decorations are divine so much glitter and sparkle I love it !! Now my home ends up like Santas grotto which is not to everyone’s taste however I can’t help myself and like to go all out too. Not only do the ships sparkle from all the fairy lights they also have themed Christmas cruises too that include an itinerary which calls at all the European markets if your lucky or call at ports of call that like us celebrate in there own special ways.

You will also see special themed events throughout the cruise like staff Christmas carolling around one of the huge trees that get erected every year usually in the main atrium or focal point of the ship and the menus also reflect this and I have been warned that you can smell mince pies at all times of the day as these are often served throughout the day. So if you ever want to get away from all the stress then  I would strongly recommend a cruise and let someone else cook the turkey.
