Just how social is Social Media?

We now live in a world where a lot of things are controlled by social media and don’t get me wrong I love aspects of social media including how I use it for work but what I am not a fan of is that people stare endlessly at their phones and forget there are people around them. I love taking pictures and videos when I travel but not at the expenses of missing out on the experience. So, next time you’re on a Cruise, share your experience with your friends and family on social media and also speak to new people around the ship, you never know who you might meet from around the world.

So, how do I use Social Media as part of my role at Cruise.co.uk?

As a Specialist Cruise Consultant at Cruise.co.uk, I write a fortnightly blog (yes, this is one of those blogs) and they can range from my time onboard different Cruise Ships to something new I have experienced, such as a helicopter ride. We also regularly update our About Me pages. I think this part of the role is important because our customers can get to know us, as we are not just a random person at the end of the phone. We at Cruise.co.uk believe in forming a great relationship with our customers which is why, when you book with me you can contact me anytime from booking to when you come back off your Cruise.

As well as our blog page we also use social media platforms such as; Facebook, Instagram & Twitter that I post on regularly so why don’t you go ahead and like/follow my pages for all things Cruise.

I have recently started a little challenge: #100DaysofAvaN this means I will do 100 videos over the next few months and they will include;

Below is Day 1, head over to Instagram or Facebook to follow my journey to 100.
