Its nearly time for Bliss

Norwegian Cruise line will take delivery of their 16th Ship on 19th April this year in Bremerhaven Germany. She will take her passage across the Atlantic on 21st April before arriving in the US on 3rd May and then will be sailing on 5th May from Miami to Los Angeles on a 15 night sailing through the Panama Canal. This is the most extensive tour for an NCL ship and will have events taking place New York, Miami and Loa Angeles before the christening ceremony on May 30th. The christening will take place in Seattle and Bliss will be the first NCL ship to debut there.

NCL Bliss is the 3rd Breakaway Plus ship to follow Escape and Joy and has been custom built  for the “Ultimate Alaska Cruise  Experience”. Its hull is named “Cruising with the Whales” and is a nod to the Alaskan Wildlife. The ship will offer weekly seven day cruises with port of call including Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway as well as Victoria, British Columbia.

The ship will also  have not seen before features. There will be a race track on the top deck  and also Laser Tag, which haven’t featured on any ship before. There will be an Observation Lounge that will be great for people to see all the wildlife from if they want to see it from the comfort inside the ship rather than on the decks.

Jersey Boys the Musical will feature in the theatre with hits including Oh what a Night, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Walk like a Man and many more following the true story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

Other Entertainment will include “ The Beatles” in the cavern Club which has always bee one of my favourites when I have been on NCL Epic.

You certainly won’t go hungry onboard either with complimentary dining in the main dining rooms, Taste, Savour and the Manhattan Room along with the Garden Café Buffet Restaurant.  If you fancy treating yourself then you have the following speciality restaurants to choose from:

Texas Smokehouse

Ocean Blue

La Cucina

Food Republic

Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville

Cagneys Steakhouse

Teppanyaki

Los Lobos

Le Bistro

The Local.

Anyone looking to do an Alaska Cruise and likes Freestyle Cruising I think this would be a great choice for a great cruise.

Have you ever travelled with NCL? What did you think?
