Drinks, Tips and Launch! Its all going on with P&O

At long last P&O have announced that they will be introducing drinks packages across the fleet this year. This was trialed for a short time last year on Azura, but then everything went quiet again. There will be a selection of drinks packages to choose from and these will rolled out across the fleet over various dates.

Azura will be first from 26th March, followed by Brittania from 7th April, Aurora 8th April, Oceana 18th April and last but not least Ventura on 23rd April.

The Drinks Packages will be available on cruises of 5 nights or more and there will be Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic choices. The Premium Package will be £39.95 per person per night and includes a selection of beers, spirits (single measures), cocktails and wines by the glass upto £6.95. unlimited soft drinks are also included along with mocktails and 500ml bottles of water. Teas, Coffee and Hot Chocolate are also included.

A Non-Alcoholic Package is available @ £19.95 per person per day for the non drinkers and will include all of the Non Alcoholic elements of the Premium Package.

Just for the kids there is also a package available @ £7.95 per person per day. This includes draught soft drinks, selected juices, primo coffee and hot chocolate. If the parents have the Premium Package then the kids drinks are Free!

There are conditions with these packages though and both passengers in the cabin must have the same package. You will also be limited to 15 drinks in any 24 hour period and you can only order one drink at a time.

This also comes just before P&O scrap their  tips. The daily service charge will be no more from May this year, so it will be interesting to see what the service will be like when people are wanting more drinks to get their money out if the drinks package!

I am particularly interested in seeing what Iona will be doing for the winter months after spending her whole Spring- Summer season 2020 in the Fjords. Will she be off to the Caribbean? We will have to wait and see!
