No one looks forward to a Monday , everyone hates Mondays , but I am counting down the days !! No , I haven’t gone mad im excited for Monday as it’s the day Im going off to Southampton for my 2 nights taster cruise on the magnificent Celebrity Edge.
I have blogged about this gorgeous, ultra modern ship previously and have raved about how amazing it looks so to now actually experiencing the ship first hand I really cant wait. I have checked in today and have been allocated a concierge balcony cabin that looks amazing.
Celebrity Edge is the first Edge-class cruise ship operated by Celebrity Cruises an is designed to bring a completely different feel to cruising as we know it. The balcony cabins have been designed to bring the outside in and with a click of a button they extend to the waters edge , making them 20% bigger.
There are lots of highlights on board and I really cant wait to see the Magic Carpet. It reaches 13 stories above sea level and transforms to a new venue depending on where it is positioned. Its designed with comfortable seating, a full bar, and space for live music performances.
On deck 5, Raw on 5 is visited by the Magic Carpet, which becomes an open-air casual seafood restaurant alongside Raw on 5. With its own menu of select Raw on 5 favourites as well as unique menu items found only on the Magic Carpet – including raw bar items, the Alaskan California Maki Roll, Lobster Rolls, Tuna Nicoise Salad, Popcorn Shrimp, Crispy Crab Cakes. How delicious does that sound and such a unique experience.
I also am excited to see the performances and changing scenes in Eden and the Spa and pool area looks lovely. Ive been on the Celebrity Eclipse a couple of times before so I know Celebrity standards am expecting huge things from the Edge , lets hope im not disappointed.
After seeing lots of pictures and reading reviews it will be great to go and see it for myself. I will be taking lots of pictures and gathering information for you all so look at for my Celebrity Edge Blog when I get back.
