WORLDS LONGEST CRUISE REVEALED

Viking Cruise Lines have revealed they will be undertaking what is the longest World cruise ever.

Taking 245 days, covering 6 Continents, visiting 59 countries and 113 ports of call.

This will make this Ultimate World Cruise, the longest ever continuous World Cruise so far.

Wow!

Oh to have the time, I say to myself!

But if you are retired or coming up for retirement then this really could be the trip of a lifetime.

You would board in London, so no flight or airport hassles.

It is due to depart on the 31st August 2019

And will take you around the World, Not in 80 days but in 8 Months!

Columbus will have nothing on you!

The ship, the newest in the fleet, built in 2017, will carry 930 passengers in total.

Of course, if you just cannot get away for 8 Months you do have option to leave early or join later in the cruise.

Viking are planning Two alternate Itineraries

Guests can choose between the Viking World Treasures or the Viking World Wonders tour.

The Viking World Treasures tour will be an 127-day sailing trip from London to Los Angeles.

Or the Viking World Wonders tour is slightly shorter taking 119 days, travelling form Los Angles to London.

Being Viking, all the trip options will have Vikings signature complimentary shore excursion in each port and unlimited free wifi, and all gratuities and service fees, along with an extensive list of added-value features along the way according to their PR Newsroom. If you are doing a part cruise option, they will also include Business Class airfares

Orstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking, said: “For more than 20 years we have been offering guests the most culturally immersive journeys available in the industry, and we are pleased to announce the most extensive itinerary in our history.

“Our World Cruises offer guests the rare opportunity to unpack once and explore dozens of the best destinations on earth – at a value that is unprecedented in the travel industry.”

Viking’s senior vice president of marketing, Richard Marnell, said: “We received resounding feedback from guests on our first sold-out World Cruise who wanted to experience the cultures of the world in-depth, over an extended period of time, while sailing onboard a ship that was designed for discovery with all the comforts of home.”

I am sure being Viking they really will immerse their guests in the destinations as they claim.

However, don’t get too excited just yet.

This Amazing adventure comes with a pretty hefty price tag.

The Whole World cruise will start from a cool £68,700 per person. Yes, you did read that right and my decimal points are in all the right places.

or Just a shade over £280 a day if you want to break it down which I know you die hard cruisers love to do!

If you want to do a split version the Viking World Treasures starts at £35,400 per person,

Or the Viking World Wonders start at £34,000 per person.

So are you tempted! What do you think?
