Oasis of the Seas Re-vamp

You may or may not be aware but Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas

Is going to be getting a facelift. During a 63-day modernisation program, the ship will undergo

upgrades, changes and brand-new additions.

She will certainly be giving her newer Sister ships a run for their money

So what are they!

Starting with the Pool deck, this will be revamped with a distinctly Caribbean theme including the popular Lime and Coconut Bar.

The pool areas themselves will have more shaded areas, new Sunbeds, Casitas and Hammocks and there will be

brand new Whirlpools on the upper deck and a revamped Solarium for the grown-ups!

They will be adding the now notorious 10 Storey Ultimate Abyss slide and in the pool area, the infamous Trio of slides called Perfect Storm.

The younger contingent will not be left out with an amazing new Splash Away Bay area and Toddler Splash pool, for lots of fun in the sun.

There will be a Royal Caribbean First in the Dining with a  Brand New BBQ Restaurant to be called Port Side BBQ, which will feature the very best BBQ recipes from around the United States. It is definitely all about the Meat and not for the Vegetarians amongst you.

Loco Fresh is also new and will serve Burritos, Tacos and Quesadillas with spicy Salsa.

PlayMakers Sports Bar is being added, and for the Sweet-toothed among you, Sugar Beach will sell 220 different candies and have a walk-up ice cream bar.

Another First for Royal will be the Brand New Venue, Spotlight Karaoke! Which kind of does what it says on the tin.

Then there are a couple of Quantum class favourites being added, The Music Hall Venue with its Two Storey Seating and Viewing, Dance floor and stage for live bands, and secondly the Iconic Robotic bar!

The Kids area, Adventure Ocean will be re-analysed with areas specific to certain age groups to cater to their needs better. The teens will get their own venue with a hidden entrance, Gaming lounge, Movies and Music and a very laid back outdoor deck area.

For all the family, there will be a Glow in the Dark Laser tag game called Clash for Crystal City and a new State of the art escape room called Mission Control Apollo 18 where you pit your wits against the designers to solve problems and launch the mission.

I am not sure about you but this seems an awful lot of changes and features but it certainly sounds like Oasis is going to be the place to be for 2020.

What are you most excited about?
