Do something Amazing!

What am I talking about? Well it is not an attraction or an amazing place to visit.

I am writing this blog as I am so proud of my son Alex who has  just registered and been to donate his first pint of blood.

He is 17 years old and did this without prompting from us.

We all take for granted the fact that blood would be available if we need it due to an accident or during treatment in Hospital but it would not be there if it was not for the people who Donate.

My husband has a rare blood group so donates up to 6 times a year and has currently donated over 75 pints.

I myself cannot donate due to an issue with my blood but I am so proud of my family for doing their bit.

Don’t think you will bother?

Then think for a moment. What would happen if you or a close family member needed blood and everyone thought the same as you that someone else would donate.

Until you need the service you don’t give it a second thought.

So why don’t you do something really amazing.

Give Blood. The Gift of Life.
